Blackstone Heist takes pride in their musical knowledge and the variety of chords in each of their songs. The Fight I’ve Never Won, a track off their debut, self-titled EP contains 11 chords and quick successions of multiple key shifts. As for their sound, they’re definitely straight rock, with hints of Led Zepplin influence and other classic rockers. Their tunes are a little bit dreamy, but not quite psychedelic status. My only real complaint is that their songs are little lengthy, but since they’re pretty mellow pieces, it’s almost expected.
